Here are links to some of my projects:
The Last Herring Fishers: I was the lead designer, front-end HTML/CSS coder, Flash developer, and project manager. Video produced in FinalCut Pro. Fall 2009
Street Eats San Francisco: co-designer (960-grid system, Photoshop), front-end HTML/CSS coder. Fall 2009.
Fun with jQuery plug-ins! I used a Javascript plugin to build a content slider for two Oakland North reporters. Fall 2009.
51st and Telegraph: In the summer of ‘09, I was a Bloomberg fellow with the Carnegie-Knight News21 initiative, a cool program that funds experimental journalism by student reporters. I served as lead designer and front-end/Flash developer for this 360-degree panorama about one intersection in Oakland.
(Warning: load time is sloooow. This was my first big interactive project, and, well, I’ve learned a lot since then. Still, it’s kind of fun once it’s up and running in your browser.)
Dec-o-Win at Paramount Theater: I produced this audio slideshow with Howard Hsu, an awesome photographer. Audio edited in Soundtrack Pro. Spring 2008.
And They’re Off!
Audio slideshow about opening day of the final season at Golden Gate Fields. Audio edited in Soundtrack Pro. Fall 2008.
Turning Corners
A video profile of Rosemary Lewis, an East Oakland woman who worked as a sex worker on and off for 27 years, spending her days on notorious San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley and Oakland. She started at age 16, and stopped last year. Video produced in FinalCut Pro. Fall 2008.
